In December of 2006 KBC Women's Ministry was founded and continues to reach out and provide discipleship opportunities to women. It has been said that the best gift is the one made with hands. KBC children under leadership of Tanya Covaliciuc made greeting cards for the Elderly. Together with MBS students these cards as well as grocery bags were delivered to the homes of those served by KBC Elderly ministry (Claudette Guerrero). A beautiful time of fellowship of the generations, learning moments and Christmas joy in hearts! Thank you to KBC and MBS team for making this outreach possible. In 2005 Yura Topal, an MBS graduate, moved to the south of Moldova and planed a congregation called Christian Bible Church. The church is in a town of 25,000 in Turkish speaking Gagauz region. Yura, his wife Rima and their six children have a vibrant ministry to the community.
Today Yurii Sirtmaci and Evghenii had a privilege to deliver 60 winter coats, 50 hats and 50 craves to the church family in the Gagauz region. Special thanks to Stella's House ministry for providing the coats. In 2001 Kishinev Bible Church began a church plant in a village of Troetskoe. Irina and Evghenii went to the initial church plant campaign right from their honey-moon. For several years a team from KBC and MBS went to minister to children, youth and adults. Today there is a small congregation of 10-14 members.
On December 22 we had an opportunity to deliver 70 coats, scarves, hats and other clothes to the church. The poverty in Troeskoe is staggering, There are no jobs and the existence is bleak. Hope can only be found in the Gospel of Jesus. We are very thankful to KBC church members and to Stella's House ministry for providing the clothes. 72% of Moldovans live below poverty level. 99% of elderly are within this 72%.
The average elderly person lives on under $1.85 per day. Unfortunately, the story of Katya is not uncommon. A team of KBC Ministries workers along with our partners is working and praying that more stories like Katya would end in a happy end "in Christ". More on this ministry outreach can be found at KBC Elderly Ministry. On this video Judy Phipps of FBC Belton is sharing the story of Katya. God changes lives one person at a time. This is a first in a series of videos telling the stories of individuals impacted through the ministry of Kishinev Bible Church. We pray Helen's story will be an encouragement and inspiration to you!
Kishinev Bible Church has celebrated with new believers their decision to follow Jesus Christ in water baptism.
