Testimony of Pasha coming to know the Lord from the words of Jennifer. Story from Greg about his experience on the mission trip to Moldova with KBC.
As part of KBC Prison ministry outreach we have an opportunity to expand our prison ministry to Juvenile Prison that is being moved right now to a village near the capital. KBC was able to help with purchase of 50 sacks of cement totaling 4410 lbs. for the renovation of the facility. Our plan is to refurbish a room to be the "Prayer Room" and share the Gospel with these young offenders. Anatole will be the prison minister/chaplain. Please be in prayer for this effort of Kishinev Bible Church.
The goal of KBC Elderly Ministry is to fulfill three main needs:
1. Spiritual needs - whether verbally or through actions, always display Christ. We are the representation of the Body of Christ, so the way we act and treat our elderly will be the way they see God’s love for them. 2. Personal/physical needs - spending time with our elderly and keeping them company is very important, sometimes all an elderly person wants to do is have someone with them, someone who will give their time. Going shopping for them, cleaning, cooking, any help around their home. 3. Mental needs: - elderly go through significant changes and it's important to keep a healthy mind. This may include sharing activities that they may enjoy such as puzzles, cards, etc. A team from Scottsdale Bible Church came to Moldova and together with KBC volunteers has worked hard on making improvements at the KBC camp. SBC provided funds and labor to build 6 new bathrooms, install hot water heaters, repaint and refurbish the kitchen, build a covered area over the sinks, wire new electric line into the camp (more then doubling the power), and a number of other improvements. These are going to make the camp even more efficient in reaching the youth and teenagers with the Good News. Special thanks to our friends at Scottsdale Bible Church and photographers - Ben, Dan and Paul. Zina lives by herself, she used to go to church but it’s now too difficult to walk so she tries to go on her birthday. She is 94. When USSR took over Moldova Zina, along with over 200,000 others was sent to Siberia and worked in a concentration camp for 6 yrs where her family died. When all these people were loaded in cargo train carts it took over a month to get to Siberia. Many died on the way. A day after Stalin died she along with many others was told she can leave for Moldova. When she returned, she built a house and communist government took it away shortly. On a second occasion, she was asleep in her 2nd rebuilt home and government came and once again, took it from her. She lost her home 3 times. She is a widow. Everyone who loved her has left her. She is visited regularly by Liuba from seminary. A wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ and be a blessing by sharing food. KBC youth ministry along side KBC Elderly ministry visited numerous families. For more stores from KBC Elderly Ministry visit: http://www.kbc-elderlyministry.com |
