KBC ladies got together for a special event designed especially for them. Every Christian girl is a princess. She deserves a prince. A real man. The vent was a time for fellowship and sharing about what is God's design for marriage. Several ladies from KBC congregation shared their stories of how they were led by the Lord to their husbands and shared wisdom from Scriptures on the subject. It was a great time of fellowship and getting to know each other in the atmosphere of an English high-tea where each young lady could feel special. Ladies had a chance to participates in games, a master-class on makeup use as well as ask questions after a great presentation. There also was time to pray for each other.
Kishinev Bible Church in partnership with Crestview Baptist Church has organized a conference for women from across the country. For two days the team of speakers and volunteers served the ladies who came from over a dozen churches in the city of Chisinau and across the country. It has been the goal and prayer of KBC to be a blessing to all the Christian community in Moldova. Such discipleship events help us reach the goals of encouragement and discipleship for the churches within the ministry partnerships. A great team of volunteers has been working for weeks to organize this event and make it very memorable time for the women, many of whom also serve in their home churches. The desire is to send them with a fresh perspective and confidence that God will use them for His glory. Irina was the main coordinator of this event in Moldova. The speakers came from Crestview Baptist Church. KBC is very grateful to the church for supporting this conference and for sending such wonderful team of speakers to Moldova. Alta Lynn Gerlach, keynote speaker.
The elderly in Moldova are usually among the most vulnerable people in economic and social terms. Over the last several years Kishinev Bible Church has develped an outreach ministry with a desire to respond to the economic, spiritual and emotional needs of elderly in the community. To date the number of elderly reached every years is aproximatly three hundred and fifty. In April, together with Crestview Baptist Church (Midland, TX) along with grocery deliveries to the homes of those in need a special event was organized to create an environment of fellowship. It included food, games as well as spiritual encouragement during this seminars. Many of the attendees have not been to such an event for overt decades. The goal is to make such event a regular occurrence at KBC where the Gospel can be freely shared and genuine Christian fellowship experienced. After the meal prepared and served by KBC and Crestview volunteer team the speakers presented Biblically founded lessons designed specifically for the elderly. A game of Bingo with gifts and special prizes and fellowship concluded the wonderful day designed to bring smiles to the faces of one of the generation left alone in the aftermath of the breakdown of the Soviet "empire."
One of the major events this past month was the Women’s Conference organized by the Women’s Ministry of our church. The main focus of the conference was to encourage women and help them grow deeper in the knowledge of Christ. The main topics were: Family Relationships, Life in Christ, and How to Witness to Others. Over a 100 women both from the city and several regions of Moldova attended the event. The major blessing for us and others was the participation of twenty six churches in this conference. We have been trying to start partnering with more churches in the city for a long time to advance the Gospel of Christ. Praise God for the success He’s given us in this endeavor. Please continue praying for more opportunities to serve our country together with other churches!
In December of 2006 KBC Women's Ministry was founded and continues to reach out and provide discipleship opportunities to women. |
