The ministry of outreach that began at KBC about a year and a half ago has grown to three groups of children and teens. It is an after-school program offered for Russian and Romanian speakers. During the month of January and February the best paintings were selected and the Exhibition Hall at the central mall in the city of Chisinau called "MallDova" had provided their facility during March 1-15. The exhibition was used to recruit new students and the groups have now grown to four with a fifth to be added in the Fall. Below are some photos of the teachers with the young painters and their works. We are excited to see the Lord glorified through this new ministry. The students are learning how to paint and get Biblical foundations for life during each class. Art-school is part of the Project 127, designed to reach especially those children, who have their parents gone due to migration for jobs. It is estimated that as many one third of Moldovans are gone from the country, leaving their children behind with grandparents, older siblings or extended family. These children fall into the category of "social orphans" and are very vulnerable, including toward human trafficking.
