Apologetics Camp

One of the biggest challenges for young people face in the class-room and among peers is the defense of their faith.  In our days of aggressive "new atheism", YouTube polemics and simplistic attacks on Christian faith it is imperative that young people are equipped to defend their faith.  It is between highschool and first two years of college many drift away from the Lord as the attacks are too numerous. The apologetics camp is designed to help young Christians learn the foundations of faith and learn how to lead a discussion in an educated way.

The main topic of the camp with daily lectures was an overview of Communist, Postmodern, Muslim and Chrisitian world-views based on the Summit Ministries materials and Understanding the Times by David Noebel.  Special presentations were made on Evolution vs. Creationism, Arguments for the Existence of God, Biblical inerrancy, Church History, and debate skills.  

A time of worship was led by the "Upgrade" teen ministry worship team.  It was a time of drawing near to the Lord in both truth and grace as young people prepared for the new school year and many to enter the university for he first time and to face the task of apologetics hands on.
