Anatoly G., serves in Moldova with Kishinev Bible Church as minister in prisons. He visits four prisons weekly as a chaplain leading Bible studies as well as work with individuals released from incarceration helping them adjust to life of freedom.
For the lest several years Anatoly has traveled to Russia to work in various rehabilitation centers for former inmates who also struggle with addictions. During this time the men work on the fields and spend time studying God's word as well as undergo individual and group counseling.
During forty days this summer Anatoly has spent in southern Russia in Krasnodar Kray working in the rehabilitation center with a group of ten men. Anatoly lived among them, worked among them and led them through the study of the book of John. In addition Anatoly provided counseling and guidance in effort to help these men get rid of their alcoholic addictions well as to get integrated into the local church and everyday life.

KBC had an opportunity to provide a dozen young man in juvenile prison with winter shoes. In the poor Moldovan economy the prisoners rely on the relatives and friends to provide them with clothes. As this prison became part of KBC prison ministry outreach it was a blessing not only to provide for spiritual, but also for physical needs of inmates. In the last few months KBC was able to start an outreach in yet another prison - Juvinile Correctional Facility. Underaged offenders serve their time in this prison until eighteen years of age. Then they are transfered to adult populations facility. This allows KBC to work in all range of prisons - maximum security, hospital prison, medium security and now prison for juvenile offenders.
We were able to provide construction materials for the renovation of this facility, work-out equipment as well as cork-boards for the education facilities as these young people are also going to school there. We are grateful to all our friends who help support our prison ministry. As part of KBC Prison ministry outreach we have an opportunity to expand our prison ministry to Juvenile Prison that is being moved right now to a village near the capital. KBC was able to help with purchase of 50 sacks of cement totaling 4410 lbs. for the renovation of the facility. Our plan is to refurbish a room to be the "Prayer Room" and share the Gospel with these young offenders. Anatole will be the prison minister/chaplain. Please be in prayer for this effort of Kishinev Bible Church.
Chain of events that led to changed lives in the prison ministry at Kishinev Bible Church.
A great opportunity to baptize two new sisters in Christ. Since there are no other options we had secured a big plastic barrel, filled it with warm water and used it to conduct the baptist service.
